"Felicity" hat
I've been a fan of Keri Russell since she starred in "Felicity." Once I spotted a recent photo from a press appearance at Sundance, I became OBSESSED with the hat she was wearing.
Luckily, I wasn't the only one. The fabulous blog Knitology (knitology.wordpress.com) had a very similar pattern, so I made my own. Not sure it turned out exactly like the original, but it's pretty darn close. Hopefully I'll get a chance to make the pattern again soon and tweak it a little to get closer to the original.

Dominick
Friday I got the opportunity to shoot my friend Dominick, and up and coming actor. It was an absolute blast, not only because the man is hilarious, but because he was game for anything and had lots of ideas himself. Here's a preview...

Happy Birthday.....to me
Ya know, I could use this post to moan and groan about getting older, noticing more and more grey hairs, blah, blah, blah..... But, WHY? The progression of age happens to everyone, and complaining won't change a thing. Besides, as several of my very wise girlfriends pointed out over dinner the other night, we wouldn't relive our 20s for any amount of money. The life experience I've attained is invaluable.
Besides, this year I had a really nice birthday celebration. Since I had to work, dinner with my small group in the evening of Jan 1 was the first course, if you will. Yes, my birthday is ALL about food. The girls and I ate at La Paz in Vinings.....I had a shrimp and king crab burritto. It was quite tasty. Here's me (wearing the "Birthday Queen" tiara) with Crystal and Jessica.

The next day I had brunch with the parents and grandma. Since my plan of getting back into gear with exercising and eating right hasn't really kicked into gear yet, I got the pecan pancakes. Dad regaled us with the details of their recent experience with a lost rottweiler who tried to adopt them.
