More from Baby Sydney {Atlanta Newborn Photographer)

A few more from the wonderful session with precious Sydney and her mommy and daddy....  One of the things I really enjoyed about this session was the combination of posed portraits of Sydney with the casual, lifestyle images of Carolyne and Justin in their home with their new baby.  I love those images because they are relaxed, organic, and timeless.

Baby Sydney {Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

Recently I made a trip to Anniston, AL to meet Sydney and her parents Carolyne and Justin.  The very first person I encountered when I pulled up to the house was Grandad, who was so sweet and offered to help me cart all my gear into the house.  It was very obvious he was excited and proud as punch about this first grandchild--just makes me all the more pleased to create some beautiful images this family can treasure.

Dad Justin came home from work at the end of the session to cuddle his baby girl and get in on the pictures.  Poor guy!  He walked into his den and didn't know what had happened, with a posing bean bag in the middle and blankets and props absolutely everywhere.  By that point Carolyne and baby Sydney and I were in the living room, but we heard him come to a full stop and exclaim "Whoa."  [Just wait till she gets old enough to go shopping, Justin....you'll see that again, but with clothes and shoes.]

The happy family.....

Baby Sydney content on Mom's lap...

The nursery was so lovely--calm and soothing in neutrals with Justin's tiny new testament on the table and the cherished bear from his childhood watching from the bookshelf.

There's more from Sydney's session that I'll be sharing on Monday.........   :)

Sabrina and Chris - Wedding and Reception at Lake Lanier Islands

Here we go with Part 2 of Sabrina and Chris' wedding celebration at Lake Lanier Islands.  After all the planning and shopping and coordinating well before, then the preparation and execution the day of the wedding, the moment was finally upon us.  Family and friends gathered at Legacy Point to watch Chris and Sabrina join hands and hearts and unite their lives.

The mothers of the bride and groom did readings during the ceremony.

Presenting....Mr. and Mrs. Chris VanWart!

 First dance...

As the sun began to go down across Lake Lanier we took a quick break from the ceremony to head down to the water's edge.  It was a nice break for the Bride and Groom to have a minute alone amidst the celebration going on in the tent, just taking in the moment as well as realizing that they were actually man and wife!  And, of course, it made for some lovely pictures of the sunset.

Meanwhile, at the reception, the party was ON!

 Our late night snack was a yummy pretzel bar with all the trimmings.

The Blast Band absolutely killed it and kept the dance floor packed the entire time.

The getaway golf cart.

Huge thanks first of all to Sabrina and Chris and their families for being such an absolute joy to work with.  Also to Lake Lanier Island for the wonderful venue and service, Jackie Raez and her team at Smooth Tie-the-Knots for her amazing day-of coordination, Your Event Solutions for the florals, and The Blast Band for providing stellar entertainment.
