Jen and Jason at Burge Plantation {Atlanta Wedding Photographer}

Sometimes when plans change at the last minute, it can be a really good thing.  A few weeks ago I was settling in on a rare Saturday off, cup of coffee in hand, planning on a leisurely day.  It was not to be!  Long story short, a fellow photographer was short a second shooter, so in about an hour I was showered and shouldering camera gear out to my car.  But what a lovely and thoroughly enjoyable event it turned out to be!

The fabulous Kelly L, formerly of Atlanta and now in Charleston, was shooting a wedding at Burge Plantation in Mansfield, GA.  The venue is lovely, very pastoral with stately buildings and lots of space.  Both the bride and groom are outdoorsy, animal loving people, who both happen to be attending UGA Veterinary School.  Jen had her beloved dog Sierra as her ring bearer, and made her entrance on her beautiful horse.  From seeing Sierra performing tricks to getting a lesson in Bocce ball from the younger guests, I had a blast with Kelly and the wonderful couple and their families.

To see lots more from this wedding, including some lovely portraits of the couple, check out Kelly's blog post HERE.

Shotgun shell casing boutonniere......awesome and very unique!

Jason sneaking a glance over at Jen.  I LOVE IT when a man looks at his bride this way, like he's just so excited to be marrying her.  Awwww.

Sierra was very eager to get to her mama after the ceremony was completed.

Some of the little people were having fun out on the Bocce Ball court and tried to explain the game.  I didn't quite get it but they were quite entertaining to watch!

Fun was definitely had by all.

While all the family and guests lined up for the sparkler exit, Jen and Jason had one final dance, all alone on the dance floor under the twinkle lights.  So romantic!
